Published Work
I have worked on staff for both print and digital magazines.
What did I do at each publication?

Liahona magazine
At Liahona magazine, I worked as a writer/editor intern. All the content I worked on was print and digital, about true events, was Christianity-focused, and is made for an adult audience. I spent 8 months writing my own articles, researching content, ghostwriting articles, interviewing people from all over the world, editing countless pieces, and brainstorming ideas for upcoming issues. The Liahona is published in over 50 languages worldwide by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, providing my own writing with the widest outreach it's ever encountered.

YA Weekly digital publication
Likewise, when I worked at the Liahona, I had great opportunities to help out with YA Weekly, a digital publication for young adult members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. These articles were also Christ-centered but have a slightly different voice aimed toward digital readers.

BYU School of Music Journal
The BYU School of Music Journal is a small-staffed publication showcasing interesting musical events and news at the university. My articles were written in a journalistic voice for the BYU music students and faculty. One other student and I formed the journal from start to finish—ideation, scheduling, interviewing, writing, editing, designing, web publishing, and marketing. It was a big undertaking for two people and gave me much insight into what it takes to put out a publication.

Stowaway Magazine
Before my work was officially published, I gained some editorial experience at BYU's travel magazine, Stowaway. Here, I wrote, edited, and designed travel articles. I was the lead of the design team and conducted workshops for other students. Getting to practice being on a magazine staff and see how it all works was influential for me.
